The tour starts at one of the city’s oldest parks, Tyson Park, on Kingston Pike at the foot of the Cumberland Avenue/The Strip, and proceeds west along the pike, meanders through Sequoyah Hills to Lyons View Pike, and loops around to Bearden via Northshore Drive and back east along Kingston Pike to Western Plaza. The last section, back along Kingston Pike heading east is optional but contains many interesting places of worship and buildings of fine architecture.
Total driving distance is approximately 8.4 miles from Tyson Park to Western Plaza.
Drive safely and enjoy the experiences. You can email us at contact@knoxhistoryproject.org with any comments or feedback related to this tour.
