East Knoxville Historic Driving Tour

KHP’s Driving Tours provide opportunities to discover and appreciate the many historical gems found throughout Knoxville that you can see from a car. We hope that you may stop for a visit anywhere along the routes and explore or return at a later date.

Magnolia Ave/Burlington/MLK Ave/Dandridge Ave

Starting at Caswell Park off Magnolia Avenue, this driving tour makes a short loop around Parkridge with its fine residential architecture, before heading east along Magnolia to Chilhowee Park. The tour then heads over to old Burlington with its unique Speedway Circle before heading over to the Knoxville Botanical Gardens and Arboretum via MLK Jr. Avenue, and then heads towards downtown via Dandridge Ave and back to MLK for a series of historic cemeteries before ending back on Magnolia Avenue near where the tour began.

Total driving distance is approximately 9.3 miles from Caswell Park back to Word of God Christian Church near Magnolia Avenue.
