Woodlawn Cemetery

Established in the 1890s, Woodlawn Cemetery is the burial place of several noteworthy people, including St. Louis Cardinals pitcher and later umpire Ken Burkhart; Robert Saylor, one of the two Knoxville policemen shot by Kid Curry in 1901; and the irrepressible politician-impresario Cas Walker, whose 1998 funeral was probably the biggest in the cemetery's history.
