The Kern building in 1937. Now no longer a bakery, the building hosted the Ledgerwood Dance studio as indicated by the sign on the second floor. The sign reads "Tap, Toe, Ball Room, Piano-Vocal Exercises, Constructive, Reducing, Up-Building, Athletics, Hand-Tennis." The ground floor was occupied by Cole Drugs and next door, Corkland's Shoes.
