U2 1982 A

10982: U2's only Knoxville show to date was supporting J. Geils Band at UT Stokely Athletic Center in March 1982. Apparently, after their appearance at UT they caught the second half of the Rod Stewart show at the Coliseum. This photo, which looks more like they did in 1983 on the War tour, appeared in the Volunteer Handbook so it may not be from the actual show. Were you there? (UT Libraries/Digital Collections.)
