1982: The legendary Iggy Pop played the last night of Hobos in December 1982. Notable for several reasons. The eternal rocker had played thousands of shows over his long career, but only once here in Knoxville. This short-lived but fondly remembered venue on the Strip hosted Iggy on its very last show: Hobos closed the same night. Encouraged by the club owner, Iggy waded into the packed crowd, and held aloft, began to pull down parts of the ceiling. Tip from Todd Steed: Search on YouTube for an interview Iggy did with Dave Letterman that same year and that's what Iggy looked like when he was here. (PJ)
