Preservationist organization Knox Heritage is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, with several events. KH’s influence is such that Pecha Kucha Knoxville is devoting its May event to the organization, with nine expeditious high-speed slide presentations about different aspects of the nonprofit and its cause. KHP will be there, represented by our Paul James, who will talk quickly about our role in preservation, in particular our Knoxville Registry initiative, a descriptive list of buildings, houses, and other properties that have cultural, economic, or political significance in history, regardless of architecture or other assets that might qualify them for historical protection. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.; presentations begin at 7:20 p.m. Food and drink available for purchase; free program.
