As part of Knox County Public Library’s Clarence Brown Film Festival (August 16-20), this month’s third Thursday Zoom series will be live from Central Cinema on Thursday, August 17 at 6:00 p.m. KHP’s Jack Neely will talk about Clarence Brown’s childhood growing up in Knoxville, his time at Knoxville High School, and his years at the University of Tennessee where he earned two degrees.
Following the talk at 7:00 p.m. will be a screening of Brown’s film, Smouldering Fires (1925).
