On Tuesday, Nov. 14, our regular second Tuesday of the month at Maple Hall, will be our setting for An Evening with Dr. Warren Dockter. The current chief of the East Tennessee Historical Society is a distinguished scholar with a background unlike that of any predecessor. A Grainger County native, Dr. Dockter (he does not mind if you call him that) has spent most of his adult life in England, where he became known as a scholar of the life and times of Winston Churchill, as author and editor of several books about the globally significant prime minister, writer, and historian. We’ll let Warren talk about whatever he wants to, but we expect ETHS, its past, present, and future, will be central to it. Come have a drink and perhaps some supper, and think of a question. Free program.
