A high-Victorian picnic on the grounds of Bleak House, the Robert Armstrong residence on Kingston Pike, around 1885. At right, in white, is Armstrong’s daughter, Adelia. The talented young artist would be, upon her marriage to insurance executive J.E. Lutz, honored with her own house across the street, known as Westwood, and today the headquarters of Knox Heritage.
