A postcard of the Imperial Hotel from the early 1900s. The angle of the photograph shows how far back the hotel extended along Clinch Avenue. It’s hard to see, but there is a small sign on the right corner of the building that reads “SHAVE,” denoting the barber shop, a service that continued from the days of the Hattie House.
