In 2018, KHP’s signature project will be the development and publication of a comprehensive history guide book for Knoxville residents and visitors to fully explore the many facets of our city’s rich history.
This will be the first time that such a publication has ever been published.
The soft-bound publication will feature 150-175 pages, including vintage photographs, color site photography, illustrations, maps, and a timeline depicting key events in the city’s 226-year history.
The history guide will cover historic homes, key sites, museums, memorials, monuments, Indian mounds, archives and collections, as well as highlight fascinating characters, curious traditions, and seriously influential events.
A limited number of sponsorship opportunities are available to help underwrite the cost of publication (research, writing, design, photography, photo-sourcing, and printing costs of an initial print run of 1,000-1,500 copies) to enable the Knoxville History Guide to be made available to the public at an affordable price (less than $20.00).
Sponsorship Levels and Benefits:
$5,000 level – Full page advertorial and 25 books
$2,500 level – Half page advertorial and 10 books
Advertorials provide the opportunity for the sponsor to convey the history of their company or family and/or how they value historical education within the Knoxville community.
